Meet The Team Founder & President Molly Stout Hi! My name is Molly Stout and I'm from the Bay Area. I founded SOUL because I wanted to foster an environment where students feel like they can make a real difference in the school system while exploring what schools other than their own are like. I've had a blast watching SOUL take off and I am so excited to be apart of it as it continues to grow. Co-Vice President Ava Barton Hey, I’m Ava Barton! I am from Pinole and I like to read and go to the gym. I choose SOUL because I think everyone should have a good learning experience. Students should become involved in the education system because they know what would be beneficial to them! Co-Vice President Hana Shukairy Hi, I’m Hana Shukairy and I’m from Chicago. I joined SOUL to make a difference and learn more about the inequities in our education system. Getting involved is important because education is the foundation to our futures. Secretary Kiley Martz Hi, I’m Kiley Martz and I’m from San Francisco! Some of my favorite things to do are gymnastics, surf, and hang out with my friends. I joined SOUL because I knew it would be a great opportunity to give back to the community! Students should absolutely get involved because it offers the chance to make a difference and create long standing connections! Treasurer Katelyn Huynh Hey, I’m Katelyn Huynh and I’m from Seattle! I love hanging out with my friends and going to the beach. I joined SOUL because I wanted to be involved in better serving students in underprivileged areas in our community. About What is SOUL? SOUL, or School Outreach and Unity League is a nonprofit made for students, by students. Our mission is to provide mutual benefit for all involved in the program. Our members propose and vote on project ideas, which we then work together to accomplish. Our Projects SOUL members pitch and vote on projects. SOUL is constantly working on projects and members work together to watch projects be executed with their help. Current Project: Trivia Night SOUL is currently working on hosting a trivia night for local parents. Parents will answer questions to win prizes and help us raise money. All donations will go to providing local underserved schools with school supplies through the Oakland Public Education Fund.
